The FAO Regional Technical Platform for Family Farming in Latin America and the Caribbean facilitates Technical Exchange Cycles. These cycles foster dialogue and cooperation among countries to strengthen family farming, aligning with the UN Decade of Family Farming (2019-2028).

Following editions on family farming registries and public procurement, the third cycle focuses on integrating rural youth into family farming. Its initial session, "Digital Technologies for Rural Youth," co-organized with REAF and the World Food Forum, explored how technology can enhance productivity and access to information, finance, and networks for young farmers.
